Cost of repatriation is deterring crew changes, say seafarers

The number of complaints that certain shipowners are not doing enough to repatriate seafarers who have lingered on the job until the end of their contracts has increased, as has been reported by private social media channels. Meanwhile, the cost of replacing a ship’s crew has been consistently going up over the past few years.
